In the excitement of Greta Gerwig's Little Women trailer coming out today, here's a little throwback picture from this past year's annual Halloween Sleepy Hollow/Author's Ridge visit. This was around the time the movie was being filmed nearby, and funnily enough, I visited the cemetery that day in 19th century inspired garb. Alcott is known for Little Women, but I often wish her other work was as well renowned. She loved writing poetry, and so I wanted to share my favorite of Alcott's poems with you... ‘I wish I had a quiet tomb, Beside a little rill; Where birds, and bees, and butterflies, Would sing upon the hill.’
