When I start to lose my interest in running or a workout sounds hard, I focus on why I do it. I want to be healthy for my family, and set an example for my kids

Today was the first tempo run that has given me hope that I won't fail on marathon day. Hopefully that helps to show my kids that we can do hard things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't honestly count calories. I'm more about getting quality calories. Which means less sugar, more balance between protein and fat. But if you give me a move goal like this, I'm going to go after it

I saw this little quote and think it holds so much wisdom. For the beginner and the elite, in the gym and at work and at home - for anyone attempting to do something well, over and over again, and efficiently.

Choose to absolutely master whatever you are pursuing until it becomes muscle memory, THEN race.
.
The paused sumo deadlift is a phenomenal way to build and strengthen the muscles of the leg and posterior chain. Adding pauses to any lift is an effective intensity technique used to strengthen the target muscle groups. It will help you learn to adjust your body to a stronger position in the lift, strengthen weak points of the lift, improve full body tension, build muscle, and with the paused sumo deadlift, it will improve lat & grip strength!

2. Our group training classes are starting next week: 6pm + 7pm for 45 min each with more sessions coming each week
3. We‘ll have child minding services for the AM classes (coming soon)

Essential marathon training gear. Because no one wants chaffed nipples

This was a challenging run, which I guess is the point of a tempo run. 1 mile warm-up, 7 miles @ GMP, 1 mile cooldown. 9 miles total, despite what my liar face watch says. Maintained the pace other than to stop and get some band-aids

Recently, I was listening to Rachel Hollis’ podcast in which she was sitting down with Founder + CEO of Stella&Dot Family Brands, Jessica Dilullo Herrin. I felt her words were so inspiring, empowering, and (get this) relatable!
